TurboDL

CLI

Recipes

Common cases, ready to copy.

Bearer token without storing it

export API_TOKEN=xxxx
turbodl-cli default https://api.example.com/file.zip -H 'Authorization: Bearer ${API_TOKEN}'

The single quotes stop the shell from replacing ${API_TOKEN}: TurboDL does it itself, at every resume.

Google Drive file

turbodl-cli default "https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AbC.../view?usp=sharing"

The sharing link is converted, and the "can't scan this file" page of large files is passed automatically. For a private file, export your browser cookies in cookies.txt format:

turbodl-cli default "https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AbC.../view" --cookies-file cookies.txt

Basic authentication

turbodl-cli default https://intranet.example.com/report.pdf -u alice

The password is asked without echo. In a profile: --password-env INTRANET_PASS.

Behind a proxy

turbodl-cli default https://example.com/image.iso --proxy socks5://127.0.0.1:1080

In a script

#!/usr/bin/env bash
set -e
for url in $(cat links.txt); do
  turbodl-cli scripts.profile.json "$url" || echo "failed: $url (code $?)"
done

With a --verbosity minimal profile, the last printed line is the file path.
