Browser extensions

They hand the browser's downloads over to the desktop app. Install them from your browser's store:

Store not reachable, or version not approved yet? Install it by hand

The packages below install without the store. First install the TurboDL app and start it once: it registers the bridge with the browser.

  1. Chrome, Edge, Brave: extract the zip into a folder you keep, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, then Load unpacked → that folder.
  2. Firefox: open the signed .xpi with Firefox (permanent install). Without it: about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on → manifest.json of the extracted zip (removed when Firefox closes).
  3. Each zip holds a README.txt with these steps.
