Interface
The download list, the filters and the details window.
The list
The list works like the details view of the Windows file explorer:
- Columns: drag the edge of a header to resize a column. Choose the columns to show in Settings → Appearance → Columns of the download list: category, size, downloaded, progress bar, %, speed, time left, status, added and finished dates, site. The name is always shown.
- Sorting: click anywhere on a header to sort by that column, click again to reverse the order, a third time to come back to the default order: newest added first (queue order in the "Waiting" tab).
- Actions: right-click a row. The menu depends on the status:
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Pause | Pause (or remove from the queue for a waiting download) |
| Resume | Resume where it stopped |
| Retry | Try again after an error |
| Authenticate | Enter credentials when the server requires them |
| Cancel | Stop and delete the partial file |
| Open folder | Open the file's folder |
| Details | Open the details window |
| Delete | Stop, delete the file from the disk and move the entry to "Deleted" (a finished file asks for confirmation first) |
While a download is stopping, its row is greyed out with a spinner at the start: it accepts no other action until the engine has stopped, which takes under a second.
The filters
The All · Downloading · Waiting · Paused · Completed · Cancelled · Deleted tabs combine with the category sidebar: for example, paused videos.
"Deleted" works like a recycle bin: Restore puts the entry back in the list (it can then be downloaded again), Delete permanently (right-click) removes one entry, and Delete all permanently, above the list, empties the tab after a confirmation. The statistics history is never erased.
The details window
Double-click a row to open a separate window:
- link, destination, category, bytes received;
- current and average speed, elapsed time, time left and expected end time;
- active threads and resume support;
- a segment bar: each segment is drawn at its place in the file, the filled part being what it already received;
- a table per thread: range, bytes received, speed, state.
The status bar
At the bottom: the global "N files downloaded" counter, the number of active downloads and the total speed.
