Statistics
Global counter, average speeds, charts and insights.
What is recorded
Every completed, cancelled or failed download appends a line to history.jsonl, whatever the front end (app, CLI, MCP). The file is never purged: all the data is kept.
Only the domain is kept, never the full URL, so that no token ends up in the history.
The Statistics window
- period: 7 days, 30 days, 12 months or all;
- key figures: files, volume, average speed (weighted by duration), record, total time, success rate;
- charts: volume and speed over time, volume by category, most used domains, speed by hour, speed by number of threads;
- insights with figures, shown only when at least 5 downloads back them, for example:
- "Your downloads are 3.1× faster with 8 threads than with 1."
- "Video makes up 62% of your volume."
- "Fastest time slot: 2:00–3:00 (45 MB/s on average)."
Insights are written in the interface language.
On the command line
turbodl-cli stats --period 30d
Shows the same figures, the insights and text bars. The MCP server exposes the stats tool.
